In the area of Ancarano, in the province of Teramo, at an altitude of 290 metres above sea level, with a magnificent south-south/east, is produced the Pecorino Bakán DOC of Torri Cantine, in a vineyard with Abruzzo pergola system with 100% of pecorino grapes.
The wine is the result of a strictly manual harvest in the first ten days of September of an over thirty year old vineyard, organic certified.
The vinification is made in thermo-conditioned steel vats followed by an aging of at least 4 months in the concrete tanks then proceed with bottling in the total absence of oxygen.
Let’s taste it!
Colour: in the glass a bright straw yellow with golden hues that seduces for its brilliance.
Smell: a good olfactory intensity, reveals fresh citrus aromas of yellow fruit, apricot, a pleasant floral, acacia, sage, linden with vegetal notes of freshly cut grass.
Taste: In the mouth a pleasantly warm and attractive structure stands out enlivened by the freshness and the inspired sapidity in antithesis.
A lasting persistence in perfect harmony with the nose that is overwhelmed by a pleasant bitter aftertaste.
This is a wine to be served very cool with a large white wine glass at a temperature of 6-8 °C , for aperitifs, appetizers, fish dishes, vegetarian foods, white meat and fresh or short-aged cheeses.
Imagine some fish skewers, tagliolini with clams and porcini mushrooms, grilled vegetables, a guinea fowl in the oven or a nice “giuncatella abruzzese”.
